The nice people over at Xbox.com have just announced that the Call of Duty 4: Game of the Year Edition and the New Maps (now known as the Variety Map Pack) are set to be released on April 3rd.
The Variety Map Pack will include 4 new maps (Creek, Broadcast, Chinatown and Killhouse) and will be available on XBL for 800 MS points.
If you haven’t already picked up this fantastic game I would suggest waiting until April for the GOTY edition, as it offers a nice shiny (it better shine!!) voucher to obtain the Maps for free. Fantastic.
There is still no official news on when the PS3 will obtain these goodies, but going by the last few patches, I would guess that it will be a week or two later. [Ed: Correct assumption, see below for update]
[Update] Also Loot Ninja, reports that the map packs will be Xbox exclusive for the first 21 days of release.
